I have lost my midi cable for my 1000XG, and am having a bit of a job working out what I should buy to replace it, and where I can buy a replacement from. Any help out there?

Sorry, no idea where you can get a cable but you could make one up if you've got a soldering iron. Here are the pinouts.

Hi guys,

My SW lacked this cable when I bought it too, as do most of the used ones I've seen listed for sale. Where do they all go? Is there a cable heaven, I wonder?

Anyway, back then, I sent an e-mail to the Yamaha branch in my country, and they supplied me with the original cables. This was six years ago, however, so I'd be surprised if they still have them in stock. It never hurts to ask, though! Just don't expect it to be free of charge; I do remember that the price was rather steep. Building your own is most likely a lot cheaper!
